Spy Ware

Yesterday I got my computer back from the shop because I could not get the
system to boot in any form after mult attempts and not even in Safe Mode nor
Recovery. The shop told me they finally got the system to boot in Safe mode.
The shops report was: Fixed Active X problem. Shared DLL problem. Application
and Help file problem. Uninstall entry problem. The shop told me it was caused
from spyware conflicting with each other. I do have spy ware blocker which I
try to update once a week. In case this happens to me again, is there a web
site that can explain all this to me and a proceedure to fix it?
