sporder.dll, McAfee Privacy, and AntiSpyware

I had the same problem that many have been experiencing
with the software. Namely, I had both Privacy Service and
AntiSpyware running on my system. AntiSpyware
discovered "Webhancer" and upon removal, froze my entire
system, forcing me to restore to an earlier point.
However, it also killed off my Firefox browser.

After some restoration and reinstallation (being doubly
sure to install Firefox WITHOUT the quality monitoring
components) AntiSpyware and Privacy Service are living in
harmony (despite the existence of sporder.dll).

It seems to me that I was infected with Webhancer (thank
you Firefox quick install - never going to trust any
quick install again) and that removing Webhancer is what
led to the sporder.dll problem. Now I'm back up and
running, webhancer free, and with everything (fingers
crossed) in harmony.

To those with the sporder problem: beware! You may well
have been infected by an undesirable/unwanted program.
Solving that problem unfortunately led to the meltdown of
Privacy Service (and all web connections etc.)

I'm glad you are up and running.

I'm still uncertain about whether there is really malware involved in all
the machines which are having problems related to removing sporder.dll.

I'll see if I can replicate on a VM--but the number of hours in the day seem
to be fewer than I keep expecting!
