I obtained a laptop, and everytime I start up the laptop, I get a box stating "Spoolsv.exe has generated errors and will be stopped by windows..." From my understanding, there wasn't a printer loaded into the system. In the printer file, there is no printer loaded, and while I'm trying TO load up a new printer into the computer, it says it's encountered a severe problem. I'm at my wits end. I also tried to reload up windows 2k into the laptop, and even it's having a problem loading in, encountering a problem. I really am trying to avoid rebooting my whole computer and losing all my settings. Please help me.

Actually, I'm having a similar problem with my desktop, and I'm going nuts.

I had two Epson printers installed, and after setting up a laptop on the wireless net to access my shared printer, I started getting the "Spoolsv.exe has generated errors..." message on my desktop. After going through the Knowledge Base Article #312052 and uninstalling the printers, removing both the drivers and clearing the register keys, I've run out of options. At this time, there are no printers installed, no references to printers anywhere in the Registry, and yet each time I boot up my system, I'm getting the same "Spoolsv.exe has generated errors..." message.

Does anyone have a clue about this problem?
