spoolsv.exe was deleted by helpful tech

My computer was recently attacked by spyware and viruses, so I paid to have a
Dell technician clean my computer. He evidently thought that the spoolsv.exe
in the C:\WINDOWS\system32 folder was a virus, and apparently did something
to it because when I try and start the Print Spooler I get "Error 1075: The
dependency service does not exist or has been marked for deletion." The file
does show to still exist in the folder when I look through Explorer.

I thought the easiest solution was to just to use the reinstallation CD for
Microsoft Windows XP, but evidently I only have two DVD reader/writers and no
CD drive, which causes the upgrade to fail because it says there are no CD
drives.

So, now what do I do? Please help.

There should be a spare copy in the "C:\WINDOWS\$hf_mig$\KB896423\SP2QFE" folder.
Just copy and paste it to the "C:\WINDOWS\system32" folder and reboot.

The link Jon gave you should fix your problem but just to add, the
spoolsv.exe is self generating meaning that if it is deleted it will
recreate itself on reboot.
