spooler subsystem app problem

I tried to install a Canon c5500 but I don't have drivers
that are compatible with XP. I started to get a spool
subsys app problem that keeps poppiing up what do i do to
fix this problem?

We're seeing spooler subsystem problems underneath several
print problems with both local and network printers in XP
Pro. And, we are using XP drivers. The biggest problem is
with local print job hanging in the print queue with our
Lexmark X5150 printers.
