Spontaneous Disconnecting

Different users tell me that they are doing something on
the network, which is AD, and they will suddenly get the
popup in the bottom right of the screen saying they have
been disconnected from the DC and are offline. Other
users on the network, connected to the same switch are
still connected.

I have changed switches, cables, NICs, PCs and it still
happens.

Any ideas why this could be happening?

I had a similar problem with a new site - it turned out to
be a mixture of DHCP and fixed IP addresses which were not
excluded from the range installed by a previously lazy
engineer.

That's funny.

That's not the problem in this instance, but I did have
that problem with this same client's ISP. They had put
their Static IP into the DHCP pool.
