laptops suddenly offline

Hi,

I have a lot of laptops with offline files and folders enabled. Since a few
weeks most of them suddenly go offline at random times. Network cable isn’t
unplugged and I find nothing in eventvwr. I only see in the taskbar a blue
computer telling that they are offline. When you ping in dos-mode to the
“offline server†no problem at all. When I then check “Work online with
synchronizing changes†windows goes online and user can work again.

Anyone any idea how to fix this.

Thx

Joeri.

We found offline files so troublesome that in the end we dispensed with it
and created a script that backs up the local files to the server a few times
a day, plus has a manual option too. This has proved to be muc much more
stable.
