spell checker language

I just installed vista windows mail and am using it. When I tried to use
spell checker it said does not support this language. When I tried to change
the language I found North American languages and english was not listed
anywhere.. What the heck is going on..

What do you consider " North American languages " and what do you consider "
english " ???

Tools menu of the MAIN PAGE of Windows Mail>options>spelling tab>select
'always check spelling before sending'>apply.

Also:

In the language section below, change the spelling language to another
one, French>apply/ok.

Then change it back to English again>apply/ok

If by 'english' you mean UK-English, that is not available in
Windows Mail. You will need to upgrade to Windows Live Mail:
