Spell Check Language - not straightforward.

mr tom

Hi,

I've already taken a look through the posted answers for this and no luck!

I use a Windows XP computer to remote (mstsc) into a development machine
(also windows xp). I do all my work, incl. email in the development machine.

Sounds a silly arrangement, but the dev box is the opposite side of the
country, and if about 18 inches from the server, so it does make sense.

Any way, I use outlook 2002 sp3 on the dev box (nothing on my machine).

All regional settings in the control panel are set to UK - everything incl
keyboard, number formats etc. This is the case on my box and the dev box.

Word (2002) has language set to uk.

Outlook has language set to UK.

If I write an email, it spell checks in UK (as you would hope).

If I reply to an email (uses word as the email editor) it spell checks in
US, despite the fact that "detect language" is turned off and UK is default.

Is there anything I can do? This is really annoying as autocorrect changes
all of my spellings to incorrect ones!

Cheers,

Tom.
