Has anyone had any luck getting the speech recognition engine working in an
XPE build?

I tried adding all of the speech components in TD, but apparently the
recognition engine is missing. So, I checked the redistributables and found
that MS only provides the ability to create an MSI file. I created one of
those, added the installer component to my build and then created an FBA
Generic Command to run the installer on my build. All that works fine,
except that no matter what phase I give the command (even after cloning) the
installer will not create the default speech profile needed to get the
engine working properly. If I manually re-run the install package after the
first full boot to user-land, everything is fine.

An ideas?

Thanks,

Greg

If you can install it manually after it's booted, I'd add the System
Cloning component and set the cloning phase to 0. When the machine
boots, install the speech recognition MSI, make sure it works, then run
FBRESEAL.EXE seal the device for mass copying.
