Speakers work but not headphones??

My speakers work fine but when I plug in my headphone it doesn't play on the
headphones but the speakers still play. It's like my headphone jack doesn't
pick up my headphones and i have tryed a few different headphones. Can any
body help?

Did the headphone jack ever work? Even if the headphones were defective,
plugging them into the jack should kill the speakers. Sounds like your
headphone jack isn't hooked up?

Which headphone jack are we talking about? What kind of computer?

I had same problem and I fixed it by: 1-control panel 2- Hardware & sound
3-Device manager 4- Update device driver (online)
My headphones work fine now. I hope this will help you to.
