sp4 update causes 2000 to continuesly to reboot

sp4 update causes 2000 to continuesly to reboot.
Message pops up, but haven't been able catch it. Then
reboots computer. I don't want to have to reinstall
everything again!
Help?

I just uninstalled Service Pack 4 (too many problems with
it), then downloaded Service Pack 3. All seems to work OK
so far. That was all I reinstalled.
