I can not reinstall windows

I try to reinstall windows, but cant. Earlier this morning i had to reinstall
the Kernel32.dll because it stopped functioning. WHen i did that my computer
stopped botting windows. all it does is continuesly reboot itself. when i
boot from the windows cd i can go into the repair and recovery option, but
when it asks me to press F8 to start the install the key does not work. I
dont know what to do at this point. please help.
