SP3 Install Problems

Can anyone help with the 'access denied' error in XP SP3? I have tried every
method to install it suggested in Microsoft's help literature, and have even
tried installing it in safe mode. I am using an admin account on my desktop
to install the thing, so that shouldn't be the problem. Any ideas, or should
I just forget it?

It might help if you provided a bit more info like when and where you
got the error.

You couldn't fix the permissions problem on the registry keys as described
in a KB about this particular problem?

Using an admin account merely allows you to correct permissions problems.

I would not just forget it.
