SP3 and WinFAX

We just discoverd the hard way that SP3 is incompatible with WinFAX. Does
anyone know of a fax program that is compatible with SP3?

Hi Bettie,

We use Talkworks Pro 3, which is Winfax and Voicemail combined. It is a
very old version and we have no issues running it after SP3. Have you
checked Symantec's site to verify it's not compatible?

Yes, we checked with Symantec. They were surprised that it was running under
XP2 because it is not supposed to run under that SP either. We have the
latest version of WinFAX and Symantec says it is incompatible with WinFAX.
Wierd. BTW On a whim? Boo!

Strange that our old version has no issues and the newer one does. I
guess that's why we keep using it!

What version? We are using WinFax 10.02 with no issues in XP-SP2
and XP-SP3.

What type of faxmodem? All of our's are internal PCI, hardware
modems, USR.

WinFax Pro works on SP3 here. I did encounter some problems with the
macro to put documents directly to WinFax Pro but for some unexplained I
found out yesterday it's working again.

What is the exact problem you are encountering?

Symantec gave up on WinFax Pro a few years ago so contacting them is a
waste of time.

Hi Bettie...I have used "Mighty Fax" for years and it has served
me well. There is a new pgm for XP on their site but have not
checked it out.
