SP2

After installinf SP2 most of my apps won't run. Including most of my Control
Panel (i.e. System, Security Center and Windows Firewall etc.) This makes it
impossible to make corrections as suggested online. Now what can I do ??

thats strange as i've just downloaded sp2 onto my childs pc and now she has 4
bit colour screen only? can you help? please email me

Since we don't know anything about your computer and/or its state when
you installed SP2, it is impossible to give you specific help. Try
removing SP2 with the Recovery Console:

Remove SP2 w/Recovery Console

Otherwise, post back to this thread with more information about your
computer, whether it was 100% spyware and virus-free, whether it is an
OEM machine, laptop, whatever.

Christine, you shouldn't hijack someone else's thread. It makes it
harder to give both people help and you may not get any responses to
your question. In the future, make a new post. For now, try
reinstalling the video card drivers on your system. Get the drivers
from either the card mftr.'s website or the OEM's website if you have
an OEM machine.

Time to visit your video card maker and get the right drivers, assuming
that they exist.
