sp2 slipstreamed into XP Pro changes it to XP Home Edition

I have tried numerous times to slipstream SP2 into my XP Pro OEM files
using the prescribed methods. but every time it comes out as a Home
Edition of XP. I have no problems itegrating the files into the folder
containing the original files from the cd. I use ISO buster to get the
Microsoft Corp. Image file from the original disk. I use Nero Burning
Rom set up the way prescribed but to no avail. Loading into my system
is no problem but when all is done I have a Widows XP Home Edition
with SP 2. It runs fine but what happens to my Pro edition. I have
just for a test loaded XP Pro and then installed SP 2 with no
problems, all is fine then. The only problem is slipstreaming SP 2 as
described above. Thanks to any one who may be able to explain to me
why this happens.

Obviously you are not starting with XP Pro if end up with XP Home. SP2
will not change XP Pro to Home or Home to Pro, it just updates files within
I386 directory.
What is telling you it is XP Pro before you start? And what is telling
you it is XP Home when you are done?

Kevin;
If you start with Pro, you will end with Pro.
What tells you it is Home?
Are you referring to the first boot screen where it used to say
Windows XP Professional?
If so, it is normal.
That page now says Windows XP on all 4 versions of Windows XP.
Microsoft made that change to simplify the code.

Otherwise post back exact details of what is happening.
