SP2 Security Center

Today I updated my PC to SP2. I have need using Norton Anti-Virus 2002 for a
couple of years. My subscription is good until 05/05 and all my definitions
are up to date. For some reason Security Center shows status unknown.

Any ideas?

Thanks,
Rick

Security Centre is unable to monitor some AV programs. I use the latest NAV
Corporate Edition and have the same issue. Open Security Centre and set AV
to self-monitored.

See symantecs website for the update so it works with security

Symantec has such updates available for more recent versions of
NAV, but unfortunately not for 2002 and 2003.

The only way to obtain that update is through "LiveUpdate" and the versions
supported are NAV 2004/2005 only.

It's not the only way.... Also, the patch will work just fine with
NAV 2003. I found the patch on the NET and installed it on three
machines running NAV 2003. Works great. Symantec just wants everyone
to purchase their newer versions of NAV rather than keep using an
older version. Suggest the OP do a Google search for

"Norton WMI update patch"

Either that or get rid of NAV entirely and use one of the free AV
programs that seem to work just as well.

Not a problem. We all do it now and then. Sometimes I even do it
on purpose, to add weight to an opinion.
