I just installed SP2 a couple of days ago.. it keeps popping up the shield
icon in the taskbar saying "Your update is almost complete. Please restart
the computer" and then offers two buttons (restart now or restart later)... I
have restarted my computer at least 11 times and it keeps coming up saying my
installation is almost complete.. how many times do I have to restart? Or is
something wrong?

Thanks,
Eli

It is the official SP2 off of the Microsoft website, file name
"WindowsXP-KB835935-SP2-ENU.exe"

I have no idea whats wrong

What source SP2 you downloaded from?

Not I think a Microsoft one. The Update install will start over again
if you break the connection and reconnect, and will not start install
until all is downloaded that is needed. Once there - or once the full
version is unpacked, it gets on with things and only reboots once, right
at the end.
