SP2 partial download & install - more coming?

I accessed the MS update (XP home edition) & it began
downloading, promising to notify me when it was ready to
be installed. I went out for dinner, came back & saw no
changes except the download window was gone. I checked
the installed software & I have 18 "Windows XP hotfix
(SP2)" shown as installed. Going to the Control Panel
though I show no security icon and nothing else on the PC
is looking different. I let it run overnight. No
change. My question: Is this going to straighten itself
out in time through automatic update? It has been 2 days
now.... Or should I be looking for some solution?
