SP2 installation failure Windows XP Home Ed.

I wondering if anyone can advise on my options. I recently download SP2 for
my desktop PC, I began installation and it was about 90 % down (finishing
acutally) and then, of course, any error occured and that shut the
installation down and I was advised that installation was incomplete.
Afterwords I shut my computer down, and when I restarted it this morning, it
constantly reboots itself?! The startup goes as far as the blue windows
starting screen, but then the screen goes blank and it starts booting up
again (as if I hit the reset button) I tried running in safe mode,
samething. I also tried the booting option of reverting to a previous
working version of windows, however that didn't work either. Any advice?

What if I can't find the OEM installation disk? Any other options?

Not that I know of. You will need to have the installation CD sooner or
later. If yours is a generic OEM version find someone who has one of the
same kind, i.e. Home or Pro, as you have, and make a copy of it. There is
nothing unique about the CD except the type has to be consistent with the
product key.

Alright, thanks for the advice. I will start looking for that disk (it's
been about 5 years!)
