SP2 Firewall + Games = unstable system?

I have a machine that was just upgraded to SP2, and I let it install the
firewall. Pretty soon afterwards, when my son plays games on the machine,
it spontaneously reboots, freezes, chugs the CD drive, generally misbehaves.

I turned off the firewall and I haven't seen these problems. (I also
haven't given it a long test.) Does the firewall cause these problems?

It's highly unlikely that that's the problem.

If it's rebooting, right-click on My Computer, click Properties,
and choose the Advanced tab. Under Startup and Recovery, click
Settings, and under System Failure, uncheck Automatically
restart.

When it fails, you will now get a blue screen instead of
rebooting. That blue screen is useful for diagnostic purposes.
Post back with the text on the screen for more help.
