Sp2 Cdrw + Dvd drive help

i installed SP2 and ever since my 2 cd drives have disappeared from the my
computer folder i go into the device manager and check on the drivers and
this is the message i get for both:

Windows cannot start this hardware device because its configuration
information (in the registry) is incomplete or damaged. (Code 19)

I tried the troubleshooter to no avail.

I would first try to right click the drives in Device Manager and select
Uninstall.
Afterwards, reboot the computer and let XP redetect and reinstall the
drives.
