DVD ROM and CD-RW drives no longer working

Hello,
I installed SP2 about a month ago and just noticed that my D and E drives no
longer work. I looked under "Run" and the only drives that are there are A
and F. I looked under the device manager and for the DVD ROM, I got this
message: "Windows cannot start this hardware device because its configuration
information (in the registry) is incomplete or damaged. (Code 19)", and the
message for the CD-RW drive is this: "Windows successfully loaded the device
driver for this hardware but cannot find the hardware device. (Code 41)".
I've tried troubleshooter which was no help at all. It must be a problem with
SP2 compatibilities, but when I check for driver updates, there are none, and
I cannot "roll back" the drives either. Can anyone please help me with this?
Thanks in advance,
Megan

Go to device manager..right click each drive and pick uninstall. Reboot and
let windows reinstall them.

I don't have a CD or anything to reinstall them with. Will windows
automatically do it without one?
Thanks Ricky,

I tried both of those but it didn't solve the problem. I'll just try to find
a number for Dell or Microsoft to see if they can help. Thanks, though, Ricky
