SP1 for Windows XP Pro

After installing sp1 and then trying sp1a my presario
notebook stated freezing at random times. Does not matter
what program I am using, no error messages, nothing in the
event view. After I roll back to the pre sp1 settings,
everything works fine.
I am using a presario 725US with max memory. Anyone else
out there having this type of problem. I've sent the
notebook back to compaq three times, with nothing showing
up wrong. I now know its sp1 that is causing the problem.

Why did you install SP1 and then SP1a they are nearly identical but the
second is without M$ VJava machine no wonder it is messed up..

Thanks for the reply, I simply thought that SP1a might
have a fix, either sp does the same thing, I was try to
see if either caused the same problem.
