SP" and freezing of computer

I've had to uninstall the XP Service Pack 2.

After installation, my computer kept "freezing" online.

The buck's been passed from my PC manufacturer to my
Broadband Supplier to my Anti-virus provider to Microsoft.

All I know is that after uninstalling it - everything
back to normal.

same here, but I cant even log on if I wait 1-2 minutes
after boot up! Th ewelcome screen locks and the only
solution is to power off. I even tried not using the
welcome screen and switchable users. No joy. The only
solution was to use the system restore to roll back to SP1.

BTW I use zonealarm free version, and Avasti free virus
scanner.Both of which work under SP1.

Me, too. My DSL now runs slower than dial-up after installation, plus my
programs completely freeze up for several minutes. I thought something was
wrong with my PC until my question was passed around to EVERYONE only to be
told it was SP2. After reading your commits, I assume it is perfectly save to
uninstall the SP2. If so, please give me instructions.
