I have XP pro. .Can anyone tell me how to change my image editor back to the
MS PHOTO EDITOR.

I Just installed SP2 . Before install , the default pic viewer was the MS
WINDOWS PICTURE AND FAX VIEWER and at the bottom right , when I clicked on
the icon to close the viewer and open the IMAGE EDITING , the default program
was the MS PHOTO EDITOR .

Since the install , it changed to MS PAINT as the default IMAGE EDITOR.

to the MS PHOTO EDITOR.

This may not be the best way, but should work.
in any explorer ('windows'), go to menu Tools>> File Types [tab], select the image types (such as Jpeg), click the Change
button. Choose program or "other button if Ms Photo Editor not in list offered.

Thanks for the idea , except there is only a way to change the Picture Viewer
in there and not the Picture editor. I appreciate your help though....this
thing is a big pain to fix !!!

Joe,

The key should exist in XP Home as well as in Pro.
