Soundblaster Live Value doesn't work.

I recently installed XP on my machine and the sound is not working(speakers or headphones plugged to CD). I have a soundblaster live value card, the current drivers, have run through the entire troubleshooting wizard and still nothing. Have tried a differnt soundblaster card, have plugged card into different slot and still nothing. The only sound I have been able to produce is when I check the digital sound only box, at which point I get a continuous beeping sound. If anyone has any answers I would appreciatte.

Have you installed the XP drivers from the WindowsUpdate site?

If so. download drivers directly from Creative.

Uninstall the present drivers and Install the new drivers from Creative.

I have the same card, and it will only work with the Creative Drivers.

Have you gone to Control Panel>Sounds and Audio Devices and made sure that
your sound card was selected on the Audio tab?
