Had to install a replacement hard drive. Loaded XP Pro,
When I ran a music / cleaner CD cannot get speakers to
play music. Which Windows file controls the sound ? Is it
Windows Media Player ?

The speakers work. What must I do to play music ?

Go to the control panel (under start button, settings)
and go to the sounds/audio devices icon. in there you
should be able to adjust and test your speaker/audio
options

To search for audio and video
On the Tools menu, click Search For Media Files.
In Search on, do one of the following:
To search all drives, click All Drives.
To search a mapped drive, click the drive.
To search a computer that is not mapped, click User-
selected search path.
If necessary, in Look in, type the path to a specific
folder, or click Browse to select a specific folder to
search.
To include system folders in your search, click Advanced,
and then select the Include system folders check box.
Click Search.
Links to all digital media files found in the location
specified are added to Media Library. The audio tracks
and links are added to your All Audio category and the
video clips and links are added to your All clips
category.

Note You can avoid adding small files to Media Library
by clicking Advanced, and then specifying limits in the
Skip audio files smaller than number KB and Skip video
files smaller than number KB boxes.

Small files are not added to Media Library unless you
select the Add files smaller than the specified limits to
media library when played check box.

^*$%^$gud luck Roland..
