No sound in my speakers

I'm using window media player 10 and Windows xp,There is no sound coming from
my speakers but the music seems to play.I have checked everything and shows
everything is okey.
I can hear music from the Headphones when i play CD but nothing from my
speakers or Nothing when i listen music from the websites or window media
player.Nothing has been muted everything is okey.
I have bought new speakers but still i experience the same problem. I'm
using VIA AC'97 ENHANCED AUDIO CONTROLLER (WDM).Please anybody help me with
this problem.What can i do? Please Tell me in details
 
You may have your speakers plugged in to the microphone jack.
Check it out.
