Suddenly no sound from my speakers

Help
My speaker sound has suddenly stopped, tried other speakers and headphone
socket but no joy. Tried reloading audio drivers but still no good. Says
device working properly when followed windows help/performance/system/device
manager. Sound it not muted....any ideas? Is it possible the sound card has
failed?

Not necessarily your soundcard. Check your speakers on a friends computer
first before tearing your PC apart or spending money on a new soundcard.
Check other possibilities of sound failure. In other words, troubleshoot.
