sound

i cannot seem to get any sound card or onboard sound to
work within xp. all it says is that there is no device
present but it is in the device manager. can any one give
me help on how to get my onboard sound to run. do i need
to disable it in the bios then format my drive and install
windows and enable it or what. I NEED HELP!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Go to the web site for your sound card and download the proper XP drivers.
