I DON'T HAVE ANY SOUND AND THE SHOW SOUND ICON ON TASK BAR
IS NOT THERE WHEN I OPEN THE SOUND AND MULTIMEDIA ICON IN
THE CONTROL PANEL
 
reinstall your sound board drivers!

Look for them on the internet and download them from the
manufactors web site!

Look in control panel/system devices/device manager and
see if their are any exclamation marks next to devices!
