Sound Recorder / Microphone does not work

Hi

I am unable to use the Sound Recorder and microphone to work. I have
checked all the settings but still I just cannot get it to work and the
thing I found is that the bluetooth headset works perfectly and the
microphone is fine.

It sounds like the wrong type of microphone.
