sound problems

i have a new gateway with an intel mb when i got it the harddrive went out
and had to get another sent to me when i got it didn't have windows on it i
used a copy that i had myself when it came up my sound didn't work the sound
card shows up but it just doesn't work can anyone help me with this problem
 
You have to install the drivers, Did not Gateway supply you with a recovery
