sound in winxp

this is exactly whats happen with me :
when i'm working on winxp environment ( in tayping program ) i heard a sound
of 2 frequent short peebs then after that the keyboard stop working until i
restart the pc .
what's the cause of that sound & how to solve the problem?

That depends on what BIOS you have (not an XP problem)May be bad ram
