I have a problem when I'm listening to audio cds in Media Player 9 through
the connection on my CD-ROM. I have my headphones plugged in the CDROM so
that someone can listen to cds, and I had to change the properties through
Media Player so that the cd is ANALOG and not Digital to be able to listen
through the headphone jack of the CD-ROM. I am now able to play games with
my speakers, while someone listens to an audio cd, but my problem is that
there is an echo coming from speakers. The audio cd doesn't have this echo,
only the sound coming through my speakers. Even though I don't play a game,
any particuliar sound will have an echo. Why? When I shut down Media Player,
everything is fine. I had no problems with this before. It only happened
after I did a complete reinstall of Windows XP Pro. I have a SB Audigy sound
card.
Any suggestions?
Thanks

Check to see if volume control or an applet in control pannel has the option
to disable echo.
