Everything Sound Keeps Echoing

B

Brett

The other day I stared up my computer running windows xp
professional. When I trying playing a sound file, it
played but it echoed. But it just wasn't sound files it
is everything. Everything that comes out of my speakers
will echo. It doesn't matter if I'm playing a game,
listening to music, or the shutting down sound it echos.
My speakers work because I have tested them on another
computer. Just for another test I tried some new
headphones I bought and they as well produce the echoing
sounds. So I was just wondering why my sound would be
echoing and if there is a way to fix it.

Sincerely,

Brett

It could be that your microphone is not muted in playback panel of the
Volume control. Also, you may have a audio driver that has option to
generate environment sounds that would add echo to it.
