I was wondering if there is anybody here who can help me with this...

I bought my computer about 3 years ago, and obviously it had a sound device
built in to the motherboard which I used for a while. Then one day I decided
I wanted a better sound card so I bought one and installed it in a spare PCI
slot and it worked great. Now though I want the card for another computer so
I removed it and uninstalled the drivers for it, but I can't seem to get the
old sound device working again. If I try to play music I get an error
message saying that no sound device can be found, and the old speaker
connection to my motherboard just doesn't seem to work anymore. How can I
get it working again?

Any help much appreciated :-)

you need to find out what sound chip is on your motherboard and install the
drivers fo it also make sure its enabled in the bios.

type your motherboard serial number into google and go from there.

Maybe the onboard sound is disabled in the bios, or you need to reinstall
your mobo sound drivers
