Sorry to hammer the network issues but...

I have a Dell XPS 1200 series laptop dual booting vista ultimate and XP.
When I use XP and connect via wired to my gigabit switch I get about 200mbps
from my desktop and about 80-90mbps from my NAS (infrant readynasNV+). Now
via wireless in XP (Linksys WRT54G running TOFU firmware). I connect at 54
with all bars and an excellent connection, I get about 30mbps. now the same
laptop but in vista is a different story. I have tried about 4 different
drivers for the wireless btw including the ones I use in the xp side. Now
the problem is via wired I am lucky to get 50mbps on my gigabit link and less
than 1mbps with wireless this is connecting my desktop and my NAS. I have
tried everything from the autotuning=disabled command and remote differential
disabling, but nothing seems to work.

On a side note if I do a bandwith check say from Speakeasy
s website on my laptop I get the full 3mbps that VZ gives me.

On another side note, on my ready nas if I enable HTTP browsing of a folder
and say download a big file like a iso or something I get about 25mbps via
wireless but as soon as I am using smba for anything on my laptop it slows to
a crawl!!! Thanks!
