I bought this HD camera. I connected it into my firewire and Windows Movie
Maker was able to capture the videos. However, WMM would only recognize the
camera if I set the camera to convert HDV to HD. So my question is, will WMM
offer High Definition in the future? Or Windows Media Player recognize videos
from this camera?

Yes we do support capturing from HDV cameras in Windows Movie Maker in
Vista, and you'll be able to edit the video in realtime in high definition
(assuming you have a decent video card).
