Sony HC14E Firewire/iLink Capture

I've recently bought a Sony Handycam HC14E, and after seeing the quality of
USB Video Capture I decided to go and buy an iLink cable..
Transfering via firewire I-link I can control my camera : play , stop,
forward etc but I have no image or sound. Anyway, my question is: how can I
get to see/capture Video via firewire?

I had lots of trouble with my Sony and iLink, too. then I uninstalled the
Sony software and the Sony USB driver that came with the camera and
everything with Movie Maker works great now. Not sure why it is interfering,
but it certainly was.
