Sony Handycam Video Files with .CDA File Extension

Does anyone know how to get Sony Handicam video files into a
computer-editable format? The mini-DVDs save the video as a single file
(Track01.cda). Camera has no fire wire output jack to transfer movie to
computer at high resolution. I've tried several rip programs and Roxio media
creator, but none of them can handle the cda file.

..cda file is a music cd file, or so I thought, with your minidvd files being
vob or mpeg files.
Have you finalised the disc?
Does the disc play in a normal cd player?
