Sony DCR-SR40 no video in Movie Maker

I purchased the Sony DCR-SR40 and installed the software.

In Movie Maker I import video (or drag and drop) (M2U00012.mpg for example),
but only the audio is played with no video. When I try to drop it on the
Timeline, only the Audio/Music timeline is used, not the Video timeline.

Any suggestions?
