dcr-sr82 no sound

Hi,

I just started to use a movie maker. I downloaded my movie from Sony
DCR-SR82 camcorder to the computer and imported in the Movie Maker.
Everything works fine when preview the movie. However when placing the movie
on the timeline there is no sound.

I would appreciate the help very much. Thank you.

This is a hdd cam which records in mpeg2 format. This file type is
incompatible with MM, so you need to convert it to wmv

or look at buying an app which has native mpeg2 editing facilites, such as
adobe premiere elements.

Thank you Graham,

I read some more info on the web and in Tools/Compatibility I disabled all
filters. It works fine now.
