sonic stage\atrac not burning

I have sonic stage 2.1, have not been able to download the upgraded version. I am trying to burn a cd but when it is suppose to start copying it just erases all the files from the atrac cd list. can anybody help? I need to transfer some mp3 files because they are not playing in my car radio.
