Someboday pls help me with the MasterBrowser problem . :-(

I have about 30 PCs in my workgroup . with OS of win2000, XP. and Win98.
WinXP computers have no NETBEUI installed. 2000 servers and win 98 computers
have NETBEUI. it worked well until 2 days ago. workgroup became unaccessable.
and I found only the computer has the NETBEUI installed can become the
MasterBrower.
Computers with only TCP/IP intalled can not find the Master Browser , cannot
Browser the workgroup and will NEVER elect a masterbrower.

Message from Browstat:

configed as preferred Master Browser. but still connot win the election.

NetBios is enabled on any win XP and win2000 systems.
still working on it.

One last thing to try, get one machine and put Windows 2000 Server on
it, IT will AUTOMATICALLY become the Master Browser. As long as there
is a server in the system, IT is in charge!!!
I have 21 computers here and 2 servers, I NEVER fiddle with the Master
Browser settings, and they all work just fine.
I have Win98, ME, 2000 Pro, and XP Home and Pro and 2000 Server
machines. I have had some Linux machines in the loop for a while and
they worked fine too.
