I have a Dell Laptop that will not open certain websites. When trying to access site like www.wsta.org IE 6.0 closes on the desktop. It is the weirdest thing. I have all of the updates for Windows 2000 installed. I have looked on numerous web pages for FAQ's about this specific problem I find nothing. Any one out there experience this before, or have a solution?

First eliminate any scumware.
See
Dealing with Unwanted Malware, Parasites, Toolbars and Search Engines

Note that AdAware and SpyBot S & D will each catch some things the other
won't. Also, each needs to be updated with the program's update function
before every use, even when just downloaded. There's also a lot more to do
than just those two programs. CWShredder is also available here:

**Post your HijackThis log to

Alternative download pages for Ad-Aware, Spybot, HijackThis and CWShredder
may be found on this page:

If trying everything at that site does not fix the problem please post back
in the same thread.
