The Canon USA "support" says it is a Microsoft problem,
and referred me to the Installshield consumer website.
I did everything at the Installshield website, just to be
very VERY thorough.
The Canon USA digital camera software will not install.
I purchased three products: Powershot Pro 1 digital
camera, Powershot A80, and Canon CP-330 printer.
That makes three Canon USA software installation CD's.
Not one will install.
Everyone else's software, including Installshield
software will install.
It has been months: I do not have even one panorama photo
from my "dream vacation of a lifetime" read out of those
cameras CF cards.
I tried purchasing a media card reader: no go.
I purchased a printer, with media card reader built-in:
no go.
The Canon panorama photostitch picture folder on the CF
cards is proprietary. I cannot access the photos at all!
Canon USA has refused to put the software .exe or .zip on
their support page for me to download, or any page, I
don't care.
I have portable two-way satellite internet: I think that
will handle the download.
Will someone at Microsoft kick Canon USA's butt? Please!
A "solution" to this impasse will be appreciated!
