Software Access

Hi everybody

I want to enforce group policies so as to create the following scenario
at my firm.

There should be two types of users with the following permissions

User1 : .NET programmer with access to Visual Studio.net ONLY
User2 : System Programmer with access to Microsoft Word and Excel
Sheet ONLY (not even Powerpoint)

Now, when user1 logs in a particular machine, he gets access to
applications meant for him.
And when user2 logs in the SAME machine, he is also allowed to use the
applications for which he has been granted access permissions.

Is Software Settings>Software Installations the solution for this???
If yes, how do I create package of non-microsoft products?

Thanks in advance

No, Software settings > software installation is to install software
automatically.
You will need to work in Windows Settings - Security Settings - Software
Restriction Policies.

Thanks Peter for providing me with the solution.
However,Software Restriction Policy is a feature of 2003 Server,whereas
I was looking for a solution in Windows 2000 Server.
Anyways, I will install 2003 Server in my system now.
